Holi, also known as the festival of colors is a Hindu spring festival celebrated on the Indian subcontinent. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, and also spread to parts of Europe and North America as a spring celebration of love, frolic, and colors. Artists Alex Gendron and Sudhanshu Verma (a local of the region) document some of their experience this year using the Outex underwater housing system (buy it here) for their image capture during the festivities. They find it ideal for its lightweight, compact design, and functional flexibility.
