From Whitewater Photography to Color the Current: CampOutside’s Coloring Book

Whitewater photography can inspire more than a memorable image. For Jody and Travis Camp, the creative team behind CampOutside, it helped inspire Color the Current, a whitewater adventure coloring book drawn from their experiences capturing life on the river.

Known for their action photography of kayaking, whitewater rafting, and outdoor adventures, CampOutside documents the excitement and beauty of river environments. Their first publication brings that passion into a different creative format, inviting readers to explore whitewater adventure through coloring.

How Whitewater Photography Inspired Color the Current

The CampOutside team's journey is an example of how outdoor photography can open doors to new creative projects. Moments captured on the river became inspiration for a book that shares their enthusiasm for whitewater beyond the photographs themselves.

As they shared with us:

"I'm pretty passionate about adventure photography and am working towards making it full time work. We just release our first publication and i have a children's book coming out next month. Using my Outex literally helped me create our first whitewater coloring book."

The Outex Connection: Capturing Life on the River

For CampOutside, an Outex waterproof camera housing has been part of bringing photography equipment into challenging river environments. Their experience connects the practical work of photographing outdoor adventures with the creative possibilities that follow.

But what makes this story special isn't just the equipment. It's what Jody and Travis have done with their passion: turning experiences on the water into a publication that invites others to discover whitewater through creativity and imagination.
