Waterproof Hot-Shoe Flash Mount for Underwater Photography
This add-on kit is an upgrade and requires a Pro Kit to work.
The Flash Add-on Kit lets you mount a standard hot-shoe flash to your Outex waterproof housing and use it underwater — without compromising the waterproof seal. It works with most major flash brands and is compatible with both Regular and Large size covers.
All Add-on Kits supplement a Pro Kit you already own. They are fully compatible with your existing front & rear glass and accessories, adding only the components needed for the new capability.
The Flash Add-on Kit contains:
- Pro Cover F with integrated flash space for standard hot-shoe flash units (Regular or Large size — your choice)
- Flash Lens (covers the flash light opening)
- Flash Glove (holds the flash lens in place inside the cover)
The Cover F has a dedicated space above the hot shoe that accommodates most standard-size flash units from major brands. This is a separate cover from your Pro Cover — you continue using your Pro Cover when flash is not needed. Note: the flash portion of the cover is the same dimensions on both Regular and Large sizes; the only difference between sizes is the camera-body portion of the cover.
Use Cases
- Underwater flash photography — illuminate subjects in low-visibility or deep water conditions
- Above/below water strobe sync — trigger external strobes above the surface while shooting below
- Low-light and indoor pool shooting — fill flash for controlled lighting in any aquatic environment
- Surface and splash photography — use flash at the waterline for split-shot and splash images
- Event and portrait photography — professional flash output in wet or rain environments

**120mm dome** — Compact, lighter, more portable. Great value for most underwater and split-level work.
**180mm dome** — Larger dome = better optical correction, especially for wide-angle lenses and split-level photography. Recommended for professional and demanding use. Heavier and bulkier than the 120mm.
