Better than my expectation
"I have to state in advance that I didn't give it a try under water yet, but I'm very satisfied about the build quality (very good polymer rubber) and mostly about the high visibility through the rubber. At least out of the water, you can clearly see the back screen. The water seaing seems to be very good as well. Deeply satisfied"

First impression
"It arrived very poorly packaged as if Outex had just slung a few of the parts without careful wrapping. There are no instructions just advice to follow a video which doesn't help sort out the external strap. Hoping it will work!"
— Mark S. (3/5)
Don‘t buy the entry Kit
"It doesn‘t make sense to buy the Entry Kit. You can‘t see anything and its very difficult to pull it over a Camera like Canon 5d. Unfortunately i have to buy the pro Kit - because no exchange"
— Laura T. (2/5)
Mississippi approved
"I got the basic kit and love it. The housing has worked flawlessly every time. It was a little tough the first time to put it on, but that was to be expected. Plan to upgrade to the done kit."

"I like it. Tried it in waves at Jupiter inlet Florida."

"literally one of the best investments i have ever done"

Cant see through entry kit
"I had a really hard time seeing through the plastic. I shot blind basically. Since I can't return it, I suppose its a good strategy to get people to upgrade to the pro kit."

Decent product for the price
"Overall decent product for the price. My cover material was very thick around all sides except for the left side where it was obviously much thinner, as if was a manufacturing flaw, like it wasn’t made evenly. I tested it to ensure it’s waterproof as per the instructions and it is, however, the thinness of the one side makes me worry about how long it will hold up before it’s tears there. Not a good worry to have when submerging an expensive DSLR. It also makes me worry that it will year there when I put the camera in and out of the cover. The front glass that came also had a few marks on it that I attempted to clean off thinking it was just dirt or adhesive but it isn’t coming off making me think it’s actually permanent scratches. However, so far none of these marks have appeared in photos or had any effect on the quality of the images."

Outex Camera Entry Kit — Universal Waterproof Camera Housing System
The Outex Entry Kit is the most accessible way to get started with professional waterproof camera housing — compatible with virtually all film, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras. It includes the patented Outex cover and a front optical glass port in the filter thread size of your choice, giving you solid waterproof protection for beach, surf, rain, snow, and underwater use.
Trusted by photographers and enthusiasts in more than 50 countries since 2010, with a 4.7/5 satisfaction rating from a worldwide community of creators.
Thinking ahead? The Entry Kit is a great starting point, and it’s fully upgradeable. More than 80% of Outex customers choose the Pro Kit — and many Entry Kit owners upgrade to it over time. The difference is the rear glass port, which adds viewfinder and LCD visibility and access, maintains all functional control - even behind the glass - and unlocks the full Outex add-on ecosystem. You can upgrade at any time by adding a Pro Cover and Rear Glass from our Parts collection — nothing else needs to change.
Note: Unlike the Pro Kit, the Entry cover does not include a rear glass port, so viewfinder and LCD viewing through the rear are not available. For full camera functionality, complete add-on kit compatibility, and the best long-term value, most customers choose the Pro Kit. See our Entry vs. Pro Kit guide or our FAQs to compare.

Dome Size Guide
**120mm dome** — Compact, lighter, more portable. Great value for most underwater and split-level work.
**180mm dome** — Larger dome = better optical correction, especially for wide-angle lenses and split-level photography. Recommended for professional and demanding use. Heavier and bulkier than the 120mm.
