Behind The Scenes at CampOutside with Outex
Their mission is to provide high quality, adventure based professional imaging services while giving back to the local community. Towards that goal, they are completing a photo book documenting a journey down the Middle Ocoee river in the Tennessee Valley, and raise over $10,000 for preservation and environmental charities in the area, such as the Tennessee Valley Canoe Club, Catalyst Sports, Team River Runners, Thistle Farms, Tennessee Scenic Rivers Association, and the Jack Lyle's Kids charity.
Outex Is A Game Changer For Outdoor Imaging
The idea of capturing high-quality fine adventure photography on the water originated from a desire to document and capture our 16-day self-supported trip down the Grand Canyon in 2021, using my Mirrorless Nikon Z8, DSLR body D750, a variety of lenses, and a GoPro. We began photographing friends and community members in 2019.
Our images have been featured in American Whitewater calendars, on billboards, in travel books, trail guides, magazines and in several major newspapers. It can also be found on the walls at the Ocoee Coffee Joint in Ocoee, Tennessee. In 2022, I earned a spot on Team Watershed and was among the top three contributors that year. We are currently sponsored by Shockerz Hand Paddles and provide adventure-based content for multiple brands within the photography and whitewater communities.
"Outex really opened up my ability to push my photography work to new levels, and capture images I would otherwise not be able to produce. I love that I can use the same Outex system for multiple cameras, both my mirrorless Z8 as well as DSLR D750, and a variety of lenses, with optical glass ports that maintain the fidelity of my professional gear. This is a real game changer."
