iPhone Duo Goes Underwater on Day One with Outex

Apple’s new iPhone Duo represents the biggest change to the iPhone form factor yet. For photographers and creators who want to take it underwater, there’s one professional waterproof solution ready for it: the Outex Phone Pro.

Unlike phone-specific hard housings that require a new case every time Apple changes its design, Outex is universal by design. The flexible Outex housing adapts to different phone shapes and sizes — including the new iPhone Duo when used folded. Apple lists the Duo at just 117.8 × 84.1 × 11.3 mm when closed, while still providing full access to its 5.4-inch exterior display and Camera Control.

A Waterproof Case Designed Around the Camera, Not Just the Phone

There’s a major difference between simply keeping a phone dry and building a waterproof camera system.

The Outex Phone Pro was engineered using the same principles as Outex’s professional camera housings. Instead of asking your iPhone’s sophisticated camera to shoot through a soft plastic window, Outex places optical glass in front of the camera lenses — delivering professional clarity, contrast, and image quality. The flexible housing preserves access to all physical controls, including the touchscreen and side buttons such as Action and Camera Control. The touchscreen can be used above water for all settings and adjustments; the hard buttons operate the camera underwater.

That makes the Duo particularly interesting. Apple has equipped it with a 48MP Fusion Main and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, along with Camera Control for quickly launching and operating the camera. Outex lets creators take that imaging system into pools, oceans, rivers, rain, and sand — protecting the phone to 10 metres / 33 feet underwater.

One Housing. This iPhone — and the Next One.

Perhaps the biggest advantage is what you don’t have to buy.

Outex isn’t moulded around one particular generation of iPhone. Its patented flexible architecture accommodates multiple makes and models — including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and others — while its modular optical ports and accessories carry forward from one phone to the next. You won’t need a new housing when you upgrade your phone.

Outex also provides buoyancy from the trapped air inside the housing, and includes a wrist or neck lanyard for hands-free transport.

Your Phone Is an Exceptional Camera. Treat It Like One.

The iPhone Duo demonstrates how quickly smartphone hardware can change. Outex was designed for exactly that reality.

Universal compatibility. Optical glass. Full physical control. Waterproof protection to 10m. Flotation. Modular accessories. Professional-quality imaging — from the phone you already carry.

That’s why the Outex Phone Pro isn’t simply another waterproof phone bag. It’s a waterproof imaging system. Take the new iPhone Duo — or virtually any smartphone — anywhere.
