Speed and Clarity: Blurring Boundaries w/ Amunì Media in North Race Wing Content

Speed & Blur – North Race Wing Shoot with Ernesto De Amicis

Amunì Media again pushes creative boundaries—this time with North Foils, capturing a high-octane product video featuring rising star Ernesto De Amicis in professional photographer and founder Laci Kobulski’s home waters of Sicily, in Italy. The goal? Convey speed, sleek design, and the raw thrill of racing wing gear through the lens.

Crafting Motion: ND Filters + Flat Port

For this shoot, Laci armed his camera inside an Outex housing using a flat front port—then screwed an ND64 filter right before (inside) the front glass. This combination allowed a slow shutter of 1/50 sec, generating graceful motion blur in video that complements the speed of De Amicis cutting through water.

He notes: “It worked really well for video. The photos had been done without [the ND filter] since we needed to see product more clearly, but next time I want to try some still speed blurs as well!”

The Aesthetic Balance

Achieving that cinematic blur without sacrificing sharp product detail is a delicate dance. In stills, clarity rules. For video, motion is the message. Laci’s texture-sensitive approach—favoring natural color and clean editing—means every blur, every frame is deliberate.

Storytelling Through Tools

Once again, Outex proves essential. The robust housing allows experimentation—filters, low shutter speeds, different ports—without risk to the camera in unpredictable coastal conditions and in the water. The simplicity of the Outex system is that it maintains tactile control over all functions of the camera, regardless of the camera and lens in use; film, dslr, mirrorles, medium format, cinema, etc. And that's exactly what Amunì Media is about: creative versatility grounded in technical confidence.

Laci’s creative philosophy adds context: whether he’s filming athletes or wings, he plans emotionally and logistically: from understanding movement to anticipating gear adjustments, from choosing the soundtrack to shaping the final cut .

Looking Forward

Laci’s reflection—wanting to introduce speed blur into stills next time—signals an ongoing creative evolution. It’s about pushing what a product video can feel like, making the viewer sense motion, speed, and the tactile essence of wing racing.

Final Thoughts: Amunì Media, Laci Kobulsky, and Outex in Motion

Through it all, one narrative thread shines: Amunì Media’s fusion of Sicilian localism and global storytelling pedigree, led by Laci Kobulsky’s deliberate, minimalist visual style, and empowered by the reliability and flexibility of Outex housings rule.

Laci Kobulsky—an athlete, filmmaker, and marketer by training—values thoughtful preparation, clear communication, and emotional resonance in every frame. Amunì Media builds upon that, offering full-service video mastery rooted in water-sport culture and framed by accessibility to their global parent, Kobulsky Media.

Every dome port, flat port, and ND filter, every wave, every frame of blur or crystal clarity, tells a story—not just of product, but of place, passion, and possibility.
