Summer 2024 Underwater Photo Contest Winners Announced

Recently Announced Winners of the Outex, ProPrintsLab, WaterBear Underwater Photography Contest Announced in July, 2024. The gold, silver, bronze, and honorable mention underwater photography winners of the ProPrintsLab WaterBear Outex contest were recently announced, winning prizes and bragging rights for the best aquatic images submitted. And they did not disaapoint.

For the second time, Outex and Oceanographic Magazine are partnering to honor champions of underwater photography and environmental conservation. Outex is presenting various gifts and sponsoring ocean photography awards to recognize the outstanding imaging work these professionals produce on an ongoing basis. Capturing the magic of ocean waves thru photography with Japanese artist Shun Natsui

Artist Shun Natsui captures the magic of ocean waves thru photography. His work has been featured throughout Japan, and Shun has released a book titled "Waves" in 2021. Shun uses the Outex underwater housing system to waterproof his various Hasselblad and Leica cameras and lenses, so he can retain tactile control and optimize his creative vision in any environment.

Photographer John Starrett used the Outex waterproof camera housing system to assist in creating a magical underwater experience for this couple during the Covid pandemic, and the results landed the cover of the lifestyle Florida magazine.

Canyoning Luca Memorial Photo Contest Winners Announced

Canyoning is an adrenaline-filled adventure sport that combines the thrilling elements of climbing, rappelling, rock climbing, and swimming. It involves exploring and descending canyons or gorges, sliding down natural rock formations, and caves. The Luca Memorial Photo contest, sponsored by Outex waterproof cases, celebrates the memories of this canyoneer pioneer who passed away doing what he loves.

Longtime Outex underwater camera housings customer Greek professional photographer Stavros Moschopoulos's work was recently recognized by Modellenland Magazine in Europe. 

First Place Photo Award to Fabio Savini for his Wildlife Naturalist Work

Italian naturalist and photographer Fabio Savini won the Asferico first prize award in the worldwide 'Underwater Worlds' category with his New Generation' photo depicting using the Outex waterproof system for his camera & lighting gear. The photo documents the Northern Spectacled Salamander's egg-laying process in the submerged branches of the cold water streams of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park in Italy. Fabio used the Outex Pro Kit, the Tripod Add On Kit, and various lenses, using both the Dome 180mm and 120mm for different shots, as well as various tripod-mounted LED lights to illuminate the scene of this particular shot.
