Australian adventurer April Bright Rose is a photographer and copywriter in Australia. She just recently landed her first full time photography role year-round with Adventure Guides Australia (AGA), an outdoor-experience company in beautiful Mount Buffalo in North East Victoria, between Melbourne and Canberra.
April had been honing her photography skills for some time. Her love of photography began a few years ago and we began to expand her skills set and build a portfolio that included landscapes, surfing, skateboarding, and some portraits. Combining her passion for it with her enthusiasm for adventures and the great outdoors seemed the perfect fit given her experience. AGA's photo needs would encompass a combination of hiking, camping, climbing, caving, surfing, skiing, canyoneering, and rafting.
Her recent use of Outex enabled her to differentiate her work in unique ways. She was able to get into spots, angles, and situations with her camera and lens that would normally be impossible. As she says: "The biggest stand-out factor I have as a photographer currently is my ability to capture water and inclement-condition photos that you couldn't even put together with a GoPro. You need a good combination of cameras and lenses to tell the story of the range of emotions these adventures can elicit in the company's clientelle."
I've been using the Outex Pro Kit. I have both a Regular and Large covers so I can accommodate a variety of lenses that I use in conjunction with my Canon 6D mk2. They include Canon 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, and I hope to soon use a wider 16-35mm f/2.8 lens.
