Olympic diver turned performer Tomasz Rossa transition from in-front of the camera to behind-the-camera professional photography work over the years, when he combined his passions of sports, performance, and creativity. Today Tomasz shoots professionally for casinos, hotels, and entertainers like La Reve, Celine Dion, Circa du Soleil, and many more. Based in Las Vegas, NV, Tomasz loves to create underwater photography works of art, and his images often adorn billboards and entire Las Vegas strip hotel walls and signs.
Tomasz Rossa was born in Warsaw Poland in. As a competitive springboard and platform diver, Rossa is a 6-time winner of the Polish Junior National Championships and a 10-time winner at the Polish Senior National Championships. In 1987, after moving to the US on an athletic scholarship to the University of Iowa, he became an Olympic Team Member competing at the Seoul Olympic games on the 3 meter springboard. While at the University of Iowa Rossa was named All-American 3 times. Tomasz Rossa continued diving competitively until 1996, then switched over to a career in performance with both Sea World Orlando (performing in The Baywatch Show), and as an original cast member in Cirque du Soleil “O” show in Las Vegas. He was also a member of the Creative team for three major aquatic shows: Le Reve, The House of Dancing Water and The Han Show. Rossa’s interest in photography started in grade school, and he has been photographing ever since—turning professional in 2002. Bridging both of his passions: photography and movement together, his photographs convey the intensity and interplay of dance with the athleticism of sport. With a discerning eye for color and composition (often working with large groups of subjects), Rossa’s work spans a broad emotional and energetic range using his subjects innate talent to engage the viewer. His clients include: Cirque du Soleil, Wynn Las Vegas, Wanda China, City of Dreams Macau, Resort International Santosa, Capezio, Celine Dion, Cris Angel and Dragone.
