Better than my expectation
"I have to state in advance that I didn't give it a try under water yet, but I'm very satisfied about the build quality (very good polymer rubber) and mostly about the high visibility through the rubber. At least out of the water, you can clearly see the back screen. The water seaing seems to be very good as well. Deeply satisfied"

First impression
"It arrived very poorly packaged as if Outex had just slung a few of the parts without careful wrapping. There are no instructions just advice to follow a video which doesn't help sort out the external strap. Hoping it will work!"
— Mark S. (3/5)
Don‘t buy the entry Kit
"It doesn‘t make sense to buy the Entry Kit. You can‘t see anything and its very difficult to pull it over a Camera like Canon 5d. Unfortunately i have to buy the pro Kit - because no exchange"

Cant see through entry kit
"I had a really hard time seeing through the plastic. I shot blind basically. Since I can't return it, I suppose its a good strategy to get people to upgrade to the pro kit."

Decent product for the price
"Overall decent product for the price. My cover material was very thick around all sides except for the left side where it was obviously much thinner, as if was a manufacturing flaw, like it wasn’t made evenly. I tested it to ensure it’s waterproof as per the instructions and it is, however, the thinness of the one side makes me worry about how long it will hold up before it’s tears there. Not a good worry to have when submerging an expensive DSLR. It also makes me worry that it will year there when I put the camera in and out of the cover. The front glass that came also had a few marks on it that I attempted to clean off thinking it was just dirt or adhesive but it isn’t coming off making me think it’s actually permanent scratches. However, so far none of these marks have appeared in photos or had any effect on the quality of the images."

High Quality, Rugged Materials
Waterproof Housing for the GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS — Built Around the Lens, Not the Camera
The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS is weatherproof, not waterproof. The Outex Entry Kit changes that — giving you professional waterproofing to 10 metres / 33 feet while preserving full operational use of your camera and whichever Micro Four Thirds lens you choose to shoot with.
This kit is configured specifically for the MISSION 1 PRO ILS and its MFT lens mount. Select the front glass port size that matches the filter thread of the lens you'll be using (printed on the lens barrel), and Outex will ship the correctly matched optical glass port with your cover.
Designed for the ILS Form Factor
The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS is smaller and more compact than most mirrorless and DSLR camera bodies. When installed inside the Outex flexible cover, you'll notice some additional cover material around the body — this is by design and does not impede operation in any way. The flexible cover conforms naturally around the camera and lens, and the extra material simply folds and tucks without affecting:
Touchscreen viewing and full touch control above water
Access to the Camera Control button and all side/hard buttons
Lens operation and manual focus control
The optical alignment of the front glass port with your lens
The Outex architecture wasn't moulded around one specific camera body — it was designed to accommodate the full range of camera shapes and sizes. The MISSION 1 PRO ILS fits naturally and securely within that system.
Match Your MFT Lens to the Right Optical Glass Port
Unlike hard housings that place a fixed viewport in front of a predetermined lens position, Outex front glass ports attach directly to the filter thread of your lens — the same way a photographic filter does. This means the optical glass port:
Moves in unison with the lens — there is no gap or fixed housing between the port and the lens. When you zoom or adjust focus, the port moves with it, eliminating internal reflection and refraction between the housing and the lens element.
Is matched precisely to your lens diameter — select the filter thread size printed on your MFT lens barrel (e.g. 46mm, 52mm, 58mm, 67mm). If your lens uses an adapter or step-up ring, use the outer filter thread size of that ring.
Uses optical glass, not acrylic or plastic — optical glass is the same material used in the lenses themselves. It delivers superior clarity, contrast, scratch resistance, and colour neutrality compared to polycarbonate or acrylic viewports used in most competing housings. The result is that the port becomes optically continuous with the lens — not a compromise in front of it.
Common MFT lenses compatible with the GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS include the Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f/2.8, Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8, Panasonic 7-14mm f/4, Leica DG 8-18mm f/2.8-4, and others. Check the filter thread size printed on the front of your chosen lens and select that size at checkout. Not sure? Choose "Other / I don't know" and we'll contact you to confirm.
What's Included in Your Entry Kit
Outex Entry Cover (universal, flexible, waterproof to 10m/33ft)
Front optical glass port — matched to the filter thread size you select at checkout
Optional: add wrist or neck straps at checkout for hands-free transport and added security in the water.
Entry Kit Features
Waterproof to 10 metres / 33 feet
Optical glass front port — not acrylic or plastic
Port attaches directly to lens filter thread for zero air gap and zero internal reflection
Full touchscreen access above water; hard button control below
Compatible with any Micro Four Thirds lens that fits the MISSION 1 PRO ILS mount
Works in surf, rain, snow, sand, mud, and dust
Lightweight — adds no meaningful bulk to your kit
Upgradeable to the Pro Kit (see below)
Available Add-ons
Dome Add-on Kits — recommended for ultra-wide MFT lenses (below 14mm) and split-level / half-over-half imagery
Step-Up Rings — if your MFT lens has a filter thread smaller than 49mm (e.g. 37mm or 46mm), a standard step-up ring adapts it to any of Outex's industry-standard port sizes (49mm and above). Outex ports use universal filter thread standards, so any quality step-up ring works seamlessly. Simply select the outer (larger) thread size of your step-up ring when choosing your port at checkout.
The Entry Kit is an excellent starting point — but if you want the full capability of your GoPro MISSION 1 PRO ILS underwater, the Outex Camera Pro Kit goes further.
The Pro Kit adds a rear optical glass panel behind the camera body, which enables:
Viewfinder and rear LCD screen viewing through glass — not fabric
Crisper, clearer display visibility underwater for manual focus and composition
Full access to all rear controls and menus
A more complete optical glass system front and rear
Over 80% of Outex camera customers choose the Pro Kit for this reason. You can also upgrade your Entry Kit to Pro at any time by purchasing the Pro Cover and Rear Glass Assembly separately from our Parts collection.

Dome Size Guide
**120mm dome** — Compact, lighter, more portable. Great value for most underwater and split-level work.
**180mm dome** — Larger dome = better optical correction, especially for wide-angle lenses and split-level photography. Recommended for professional and demanding use. Heavier and bulkier than the 120mm.
