The USA Women's Olympic Water Polo team has made the Los Alamitos Military Base their headquarters for their Tokyo Olympic Games training in recent months. Women's apparel brand Jolyn is launching a swim suit line with Maggie & Ashley, and invited photographer JR deSouza of Outex to help photograph the players and their new swim suits underwater.

San Diego based professional photographer Daniel Bommarito, together with his brother Jeff, have spent their lives exploring natural landscapes and creating artist photography. Never settling for the ordinary, Daniel discovered Outex years ago while looking for professional solutions that would enable him to push his boundaries in any environmental condition; dirt, dust, sand, mud, or in the water.

Fuji Photographer Per Rasmussen Uses GFX+Outex for Special Print

Fuji photographer Per Rasmussen uses his Fuji GFX, 32-64mm, and Outex underwater housing system for this Special Photo Print as a partial sunscreen filter at our local sport centre in Denmark.  Per was tasked with creating an image that would serve to both block the sunlight, as well as educate/entertain patrons nearby.  He chose a swimmer to make the picture more interesting and unique.

Sony A1 Review on FStopper using Outex - by Jason Vinson

Professional photographer Jason Vinson recently reviewed the Sony A1 camera for camera for the FStoppers community. Jason has been an FStoppers contributors for years.  He was an early Outex customer/user/reviewer in FStoppers, and you can still find his profile and reviews on our website's Reviews and Ambassadors pages/menus.  He used the Outex underwater camera housing for his review to explore the camera's limits in extreme environments and situations, such as low light, extreme contrast, and for resolution definition.

Using ND Filters or Polarizers with Outex waterproof system

There are several ways to utilize an ND filter or polarizer with your camera lens when using the Outex waterproof system. This blog shows four (4) different options ranging from external, internal, and dome port use that secure filters to the lens of your choice.  ND filters can help focus, sharpness, and dynamic range in bright environments by allowing the photographer to control depth of field and f-stop without over-exposing the image.  It is specially useful for cinematography, when there are more stringent limitations on what the user can preset beforehand.

Photojournalists Ben Lowy & Marvi Lacar document Turtle Cold Stun in Texas

While Texas suffered through freezing temperatures and a disabled power grid, Sea Turtle Inc., a volunteer organization fought to save the lives of thousands of cold stunned sea turtles stranded on the shores of the state.  With the help of a community of volunteers, Sea Turtle, sheltered around 5500 turtles so they could later re release them into the wild. The efforts were captured by professional photographers and photojournalist couple Ben Lowy and Marvi Lacar, using Sony cameras and the Outex underwater housing system.

TV-host, Adventurer, Dr. Karina Oliane breaks world record for longest lava crossing.

Dr. Karina Oliane recognized with world record for longest Tyrolean traverse of a lava field - another nice accolade on Internation Women's Day.  Karina is a medical doctor, tv-host, adventurer super hero.  When she's not helping underserved kids in underdeveloped countries she's skydiving, storm-chasing, or flying while strapped to the wings of an airplane. This video shows her first experience with the Outex underwater housing system - a nice match for the globe-trotting, travel-adventure lifestyle of story telling. Can't wait to see what she does next.

In this 12-part documentary series, photojournalist, lecturer, and professional photographer Dr. Cristiano Burmester documents the "ancient" way of life by families along Brazil's Atlantic coast. Each episode shows the various relationships between each conclave and their oceanic relationships, practices, culture, and subsistence. It provides a closer look at the different lifestyles that make up the multifaceted array of seafarers and their present relationships with our shared ocean waters and the Brazilian way of being.

Faster Digital Imaging Innovation Pace Means More Choices for Photographers
