During the 2019 PhotoPlus Expo in NYC we had the chance to record a quick underwater photoshoot demonstration with professional photographer Ben Lowy and B&H Photo. Ben and Outex founder JR demonstrated the basics of a fashion shoot. Ben was using a Sony A9 with 16-35mm f/4 and JR an A7R3 with 16-35mm f/2.8. Both used the Outex Pro Kit Regular with 72mm and 82mm front glass ports, respectively, and Light And motion Stella 9600 lights. B&H shot above water footage with a variety of cameras.

Last year we were invited to help teach an underwater photoshoot at Sony's Kando 2.0 event in Monterey, CA with our Ambassador Daniel Woods. So we jumped at the change to participate at this year's #SonyKandoTrip in Sunriver, OR, with top creative minds from all over the world.

A big shift is taking place in public media, and it’s not just digital disruption, mergers and acquisitions, or the explosion of content competing for our viewers and listeners.  The change I’m talking about is demographic. Baby boomers who have spent decades in the field are retiring, and they’re turning over leadership of many local stations — sometimes to a new, more diverse generation, and sometimes not.
