The Outex Pro Kit supports virtually any underwater camera configuration through modular add-on accessories. This includes hot-shoe and detached flash, strobe triggers, wired and wireless lighting, HDMI and USB tethering, tripod mounts, pistol grips, and combined setups. Wireless signals (RF, WiFi, IR) pass through the Outex cover but are blocked by water — wired cable adaptors solve this for fully submerged setups.

It's a one-size-fits most system, and we offers variants of cover sizes and glass to accommodate ALL.   The covers come in SMALL, REGULAR, and LARGE.   The front Ggass supports all standard filter thread sizes in the market. The rear glass options can be used for all cameras.

Outex makes two optical glass dome ports: the Dome 120mm and the Dome 180mm. Both work with any lens via adaptors (threaded lenses) or clamps (unthreaded, fisheye, hooded lenses). The 180mm delivers better results in more conditions — especially for split-level photography — while the 120mm offers better portability and value. Both are fully compatible with all Outex covers and accessories.

Outex adds virtually no weight or bulk to your camera gear. The Pro Kit cover packs flat and fits inside your existing camera bag alongside your camera and lenses. Unlike rigid underwater housings — which require their own dedicated case and add significant weight — Outex travels as carry-on, avoids excess baggage fees, and is always with you when you need it.

Desiccant (silica gel) packs can be used for moisture absorption.  They are useful for wicking moisture away from the air/environment they are in, and can be used inside the Outex waterproof housings to reduce the amount of air moisture inside the housing.  That in turn helps reduce fogging.  Fogging is often the result of the heated moisture in the case's air, and often cause by the camera gear.

Outex underwater products are built to last.  When properly maintained all of our components can last as long as your camera equipment. There's a dedicated Maintenance entry on this topic, but in summary: Rinse the Outex parts with mild soap and water after use to rinse and clean. Use a toothbrush to remove detritus from the threads or openings the human hand may not reach. Pad components dry with a towel or cloth and let them dry before reassembling parts back together. Avoid storing it wet or assembled. Store in a dry, cool place, just as you would your camera gear. Refrain from compressing the cover too tightly when stored, to avoid creating fold-marks. Protect the cover when installed on a camera by using our carrying case during transport, even inside a backpack, to avoid hitting other hard objects.

Yes — Outex works with virtually any zoom or telephoto lens. The flexible cover stretches to accommodate zoom extension and maintains full access to zoom and focus rings. For very long lenses (400mm+), an open-front configuration provides water-resistant protection for rain, spray, and inclement conditions. Choose the Pro Regular (110) or Pro Large (130) cover depending on your lens size.
